Katie Holmes reveals Suri's birthday plans!

Katie Holmes is planning an all-girls tea party to celebrate her daughter’s fifth birthday.

The actress’ little girl, Suri, turns five on April 18 and Katie who is married to Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise is keen to mark the occasion with a fun-filled bash.

“She wants a pinata and her girlfriends to come over and go swimming,” Katie said. “We’re gonna make a cake together!

“We’re gonna have a little tea party. I kind of like to girl it up!”

As well as planning for Suri’s big day, Katie is currently promoting her new TV mini-series, The Kennedys in which she takes on the role of former First Lady Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis and says filming it was very inspiring, especially when it came to dressing like her alter-ego.

“What we tried to achieve with the mini-series was showing the human side of … we set out to almost make it, almost like a Greek tragedy,” she said.

“We also created a lot of her looks yeah, it was really fun. I still look to her fashion today and it inspires what I wear.”
