Maksmim Chmerkovskiy talks DWTS fall!

Maksmim Chmerkovskiy is opening up about his embarrassing moment on the Dancing With the Stars dancefloor.
The professional dancer fell on Tuesday, April 5’s Rumba but quickly got up to finish the dance and saved Kirstie Alley from potential elimination.
“I have to go find my ego and put it back together,” Chmerkovskiy told Access Hollywood, adding “It’s not about pain, forget the pain, I’m not being a hero or anything. …I teach my couples, my kids, my students it’s not about being perfect, it’s about not showing your imperfections and this just pisses me off because you’ve seen me mess up, you’ve seen me mess up with my partners, you just couldn’t notice. But today, there was nothing I could do to camouflage that [and] it pissed me off the most.”
After the dance, he explained the fall as “muscle contusion” which is more like “a Charlie horse”. But Maks insisted that he would be fine for the next dance.
“Never happened to me and [I hope it] never happens again ’cause it’s a little bruised, but I’ll be fine,” he said.
“My philosophy is I want to be in the background. I’m the backbone but I want to be in the shadows.
“This being the most talked-about moment kind of takes away from Hines [Ward] and from Petra [Nemcova] doing their phenomenal routines and even from Kirstie, obviously, so that’s why I feel a little awkward with this whole attention on me.”
Kirstie, 60, isn’t worried the incident could lead to her leaving the show because things like that can happen on live television.
“There’s something exciting about live TV,” she said. “I’m so scared because something can happen and now that it’s happened I’m like, ‘So what?’ ”
The theme of the evening was to perform a dance that told a personal story about the contestant.
