Paul Rudd turns talks family and cancer!

Paul Rudd turns 42 today, April 6 and he’s friends, family, business associates and complete strangers to open up their wallets and donate their age to the American Cancer Society.
If you’re 65, donate $65. Rudd’s goal is to raise $50,000. So far, he’s raised $4,535. He’s got fifteen days left to reach his goal.
Rudd lost his father to cancer and wants to honor his memory with this fundraising initiative.
“My dad died of cancer,” the actor said.
” It’s horrible. I miss him so much and think of him every day. I’m not kidding, every day. Before he was diagnosed, I never really thought about cancer. It’s not one of those subjects any of us choose to spend our time thinking about. Since he died, I’ve learned that every one out of every two men and one out of every three women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.”
Paul also encouraged others to ask for donations instead of gifts when their birthday comes around.
Rudd recently revealed revealed his dating don’ts!
The Hollywood actor who’s now happily married to his wife of seven years, Julie Yaeger says he and his friend went on a double date with their respective girlfriends and it turned out to be a disaster!
“A friend and I went on a double date with these two girls and it started off we were trying to impress the girls and make each other laugh,” he said. “And it started out innocently enough with my friend kicking his shoe 30 feet in the air as we’re walking down the street. And it really struck me as funny. So then I try to outdo him, I jumped on a mailbox or something, and each thing kept escalating. The girls didn’t laugh at any of this.
“Finally, I was driving, we were driving home (in my Jeep). And I thought it would be funny if, in the middle of a conversation, I jump out of the Jeep and run alongside, keep the conversation going as if it was normal. And I didn’t take into account that when you’re going slow in a car, it’s still really fast. I stepped on the car and fell so hard on the pavement, I ripped my jeans and cut up my hands and felt the tire whoosh past my head.
“And I looked up, and in a split second, the car was already 50 feet in front of me going into a tree. And they looked completely shell-shocked, and I felt so stupid and then just drove home in silence.
“And that was the only date I had with that girl.”
