Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth made sure her children did not feel left out when they married last month.
The couple tied the knot at the actress’ six-acre ranch in Ojai, California, during a romantic ‘Southern Style’ wedding on March 26 and friends have revealed the pair carefully planned the nuptials to include Reese’s kids, Ava, 11, and seven-year-old Deacon, with former husband Ryan Phillipe.
“It was always Reese and Jim and Ava and Deacon. The kids were included in everything, it was very sweet,” a source told Britain’s Hello! magazine.
“They were super-excited to be part of their mom’s day.
“There was so much love for Jim in that room. The moment he walked in, everyone went wild and started cheering. Ava and Deacon obviously adore him.”
Reese even ensured the silk flowers on her custom made Monica Lhuillier gown matched Ava’s own dress which was created by the same designer.
The couple then gave a joint speech thanking close friends
including Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan, Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Chris Martin, Kate Hudson and Renee Zellweger for attending.
“She said they were so happy to be surrounded by their closest friends and family,” said the source.
The newlyweds enjoyed a very romantic day and spent most of the evening at the reception dancing.
“It has a romantic and warm feeling. Reese and Jim danced for hours. It was such a relaxing, beautiful, soulful night. It was their kind of day,” dished the insider.
