Wendy Williams was the second star to be eliminated from Dancing with the Stars last night.
The talk show host and her partner Tony Dovolani were sent home after their foxtrot to Last Night A DJ Saved my Life on Monday night failed to impress the judges and the voting public.
The couple received just 15 points out of a possible 30 from judging panel Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba, landing Wendy in the bottom two alongside WWE wrestlerChris Jericho, who received 21 points for his rumba with Cheryl Burke to Let it Be.
Wendy’s score was even lower than the disappointing 17 points she got last week, which put her in a bottom three alongside retired boxer Sugar Ray Leonard and DJ Mike Catherwood, who was the first star to be eliminated.
After being voted off, 46-year-old Wendy admitted she was disappointed to be going home but was looking forward to returning to her usual job of presentingThe Wendy Williams Show.
“This has been a wonderful opportunity for me and I want to thank the judges and Tony for teaching me how to dance
,” Wendy said. “I got a chance to do this in front of millions of people. With that said, I will do the rest of the talking tomorrow on The Wendy Williams Show.
“I’m probably the busiest person in terms of flying back and forth and in addition to that I have a marriage, a child and a litany of other things to hold together.”
She also thanked the judges and her professional partner for trying to teach her to dance, but accepted she was not a natural.
“This has been a wonderful opportunity and I want to thank the judges and Tony for teaching me how to dance,” she said.
“Look, despite stereotypes this is one black girl who can’t even do the Running Man!”
Model Petra Nemcova and NFL player Hines Ward were the two top-scoring celebrities of the night, finishing in joint first place with 25 points each.
