Russell Brand won’t record a duet with his pop star wife Katy Perry!

The British comedian says he would never join the Teenage Dream hitmaker behind the microphone having realized his musical limitations back in his teens.

“There was a brief period where, like a lot of adolescents, I succumbed to the fantasy of becoming a rock ‘n’ roll star,” explains Russell.

“Me and a cousin or two holed ourselves up in a bedroom, but unfortunately we emerged with nothing more than headaches and a mild addiction to marijuana, which has since been beaten. I’m not good at music. I’ve not got the proper rhythm. I can’t do it.”

Russell recently revealed that he almost proposed to Katy on their first date.

“I nearly asked her to marry me on our first date,” he said.

“It was like a hit of acid, a wave of confusion, emerging from under the water, a moment of ‘Oh bloody hell’, different perception for a moment. And then I thought, ‘I’ll give it space and see what happens.’ “
