Carly Simon is back in the studio!
The legendary You’re So Vain singer says she’s working on a new baseball anthem after confessing she once started to write a song to rival traditional tune Take me Out to The Ballgame.
Simon has recorded a rendition of the beloved sports anthem for a CD accompanying a kids book about baseball, and the star reveals she once tried to pen her own stadium tune about her daughter becoming a major league player.
“I really should finish it,” she said.
Simon said that her family
was friendly with Jackie Robinson’s family when she was a girl and that the Brooklyn Dodgers star used to bring her to games and call her his “lucky charm.”
