Katherine Jenkins loves respectful fans!

Katherine Jenkins finds concert-goers in Asia listen to her music more deeply than anywhere else.
The star who recently sung with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong admits she has noticed she receives a more profound reception from her Asian fans.
“I think some people like the classical stuff more and some people like the crossover stuff more, but you see it the way the audience reacts, it’s a completely different thing in different countries,” she said.
“I feel like people [at the Hong Kong concert] were very intensely listening and sort of very respectful and so that’s something you maybe wouldn’t see in other countries.
“It’s a cultural thing and to see people so into the music is really such a lovely thing.”
Katherine has also noticed that she is beginning to attract a younger fan base. Although initially music with a more classical theme was deemed to be more suitable for people of a certain age, Katherine thinks that adding more contemporary pieces to her repertoire has helped her appeal to youngsters.
“I think that classical crossover music is taking on a new audience and it was so exciting to see people of all ages there,” she said of the Hong Kong spectacle.
