Jennifer Aniston wants to save lives

Jennifer Aniston is hoping to make a different with her latest project.
The former Friends actress went through every step of the agonizing cancer battles with stricken pals Sheryl Crow and Christina Applegate and she is now honoring their struggles by directing a short drama for Lifetime Movie Network’s Project Five, a five-part series that charts the impact of cancer on people’s lives.
“Jen was devastated by the twin tragedies that struck Sheryl and Christina,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.
“It hit her really hard when they both got sick, and she felt every horrifying emotion along with her friends.
“Their cancer battles made Jen see life in a totally different light.
“After they both were rocked with cancer diagnoses, Jen started thinking, ‘It could have been me!’
“Jen was moved by the bravery both women demonstrated as they waged war on the disease.
“She’s been hunting for a great directing project, so she decided to seize on the topic of cancer because she believes she can make a difference and inspire others who are coping with the disease.
“She’s sick of making silly romantic comedies and wants to dive into a serious project that will have lasting value and that could potentially save lives. By making this TV movie, Jen is giving a voice to millions who have waged silent battles against cancer.”
