Russell Brand admits he’d quite like to work in chocolate factory even though it’s a slippery slope towards ruination in the face of so much chocolate.
The British comedian stars in new movie Hop, about a bunny who runs away to become a drummer in Los Angeles instead of taking over his father’s (Hugh Laurie) duties as Easter Bunny at his chocolate factory.
“It’s so colorful and lurid and delightful, Wonka-esque, all those jelly beans everywhere. But eventually, don’t you think that if you worked in a chocolate factory, it might have the result of making you deplore chocolate?” he says. “Ultimately, you’d be losing at another one of life’s pleasures.”
Meanwhile, Russell who’s married to pop diva Katy Perry says he doesn’t ever want to record a duet with his wife.
“There was a brief period where, like a lot of adolescents, I succumbed to the fantasy of becoming a rock ‘n’ roll star,” he said.
“Me and a cousin or two holed ourselves up in a bedroom, but unfortunately we emerged with nothing more than headaches and a mild addiction to marijuana, which has since been beaten. I’m not good at music. I’ve not got the proper rhythm. I can’t do it.”
