Ryan Phillippe feels like a vampire.

The 36-year-old actor who has daughter Ava, 11, and seven-year-old son Deacon with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon can’t understand why he has retained such a youthful appearance as he has so many vices.

“It’s weird, I feel like a vampire. I do take care of myself, but I drink a fair bit and I still smoke, which I shouldn’t,” he said.

“I’ve tried to age myself but it’s not working.”

The Lincoln Lawyer star also admitted he used to search for himself on the internet but stopped because it upset him with the way he seemed to be portrayed.

“I used to Google myself but it can send you into an abyss of despair and self-hatred,” he said.

“People painting me like a playboy or as a cad, which I’m not. I’m a real regular decent dude.”

Ryan recently revealed that his vices include indulging in calorific foods such as burgers.

“I do eat healthy but there’s nothing better than a good old-fashioned American cheeseburger and fries,” he said.

“I go to In-N-Out Burger, a healthy fast food place in Los Angeles. You can have a ‘protein style’ burger without the bun and wrapped in a lettuce leaf.”
