Snooki gets her own reality show?

Snooki is getting her own spin-off show.

The diminutive Jersey Shore star is to appear in a new MTV reality series with her fellow Jersey Shore housemate JWoww which will follow the pair dealing with “love and life” over 12 episodes.

Production on the as-yet untitled program will begin later this year.

“The locale may be different, but the friendship is sure to remain the same,” MTV said in a statement.

Snooki and JWoww real names Nicole Polizzi and Jenni Farley aren’t the only Jersey Shore cast members getting their own series.

Pauly D is going to be followed by cameras as he attempts to establish himself as a DJ.

The 29-year-old star’s 12-episode reality show will depict his “jet-setting and often hilarious life on the road as one of the country’s most in-demand DJs”.

David Janollari, MTV Head of Programming, said in a statement, “We’re excited to put the spotlight on their lives away from the shore as they pursue their individual passions, careers and relationships. Both series are fun, fresh ways for us to evolve what is an already successful brand for us.
“As we continue to reinforce our position as the entertainment destination for the Millennial generation, these two shows fit perfectly into that overall strategy, and we’re thrilled to add them to our diverse line-up.”

Both series will air on the network in 2012.
