Brooke Shields doesn't trade sex for roles

Brooke Shields never traded sex for a role.

The former Lipstick Jungle star says she doesn’t have a casting couch horror story.

“I was always way too young, and I was forever a virgin so no one wanted that responsibility. So I didn’t get near the couch,” Shields told FOX411.

Brooke recently insisted she won’t let her children act until they are older.

The 45-year-old actress shot to fame aged just 12 playing a child prostitute inPretty Baby but doesn’t want her daughters Rowan, seven, and Grier, four, to follow in her footsteps because she isn’t prepared to sacrifice her own career.

“I would never start them as young as I did. For a start, my life isn’t conducive to that. Selfishly, I wouldn’t give up on my career to work on theirs,” she said.

However, Brooke will support her daughters whose father is her screen-writer husband Chris Henchy, 46 if they want to embark on an acting career once they have finished school.

“If, when they have finished their education, they want to do it, I will do whatever I can to help them,” she said.
